Elmcroft Hall

Unfortunately, the news of the Government’s revised restrictions on the size of social group meetings arrived too late for me to completely rewrite the opening page of the last issue. Hence the “Cancelled” splash across the top paragraph. The Committee do not feel that it is right to proceed with meetings at the Elmcroft Hall at the present time.

I was recently in my workshop, turning the third of a set of parts for a project. Having turned two already I wasn’t expecting any particular problems. The piece I was using was a little more knotty than the previous two, and there was a bit more vibration, but I was keeping the speed down. The piece was held in the jaws of the chuck, with the tailstock providing support at the other end.
